Nyctophobia development progress - 3

2024/Oct/25  Hello again, here's another updates. There are various addition and changes again. I made a first goal of making a playable 5 min version game, so first MVP(demo version) will be released soon. 1. Addition 1-1. Boss Ghost Monster Finally, the first Boss Ghost Monster is made. temporary name is gourmand, keep poking player with fork. You'll need something to give to it. It can be player, or maybe something else. Other details will need to be added further, but basic mechanism has been made. 1-2. Boss Stage When Boss Ghost Monster appears, monsters are not being spawned anymore. Candle will be turned off automatically, and become unable to turn it on. After defeating Boss Ghost Monster, all these limitations will disappear. If you did not take enough MP-related items and if you could not defeat Boss Ghost Monster fast enough, your MBLv will increase quite a lot. Nyctophobia development progress - 2

 2024/Oct/20 Hello, this is the second development post. I'll introduce you about the change in game design after the first development post, also with items that has been added. 1. Changed Points After receiving feedbacks, I realized I was missing some points. The base of Nyctophobia is Vampire Survivors(VS), yet I was missing the fun of VS. My original design was trying to focus horror features yet based on VS, had Boss Ghost Monsters in the middle of the gameplay. However, the damage of player is useless against Boss Ghost Monster, but only player's Mental Point(MP) matters. On the contrary, MP does not mean something against normal monsters, although most of the game play will be against normal monsters. Only player's damage matters to them. I realized that these resources are not mixed well but playing separately instead, so I have changed the design. 2024/Oct/12 Hello, this is sole developer of Nyctophobia. Since it is my first game development project with detailed game design, I'm not sure how it will end up. However, I'm aiming on making profit with this game. I used to have game design inside my head already, but sharing the development progress post has been delayed since none of the base system was made yet. Finally, some original features are being added one by one, so I will share about these features. Your interest and feedback are always welcome. Oh, and the base system has been made by following tutorial videos that has been uploaded by Youtuber GoldMetal, most of sprites are from his shared assets.
